Application of Ultrasound in Fusion Welding
1. Welding method:
Ultra-high frequency ultrasonic vibration welding joint under moderate pressure can produce friction heat and instantaneous melting bonding between two plastic joints. The welding strength can be comparable to that of the body. By using suitable workpiece and reasonable interface design, the water and air tightness can be achieved, and the inconvenience caused by the use of auxiliary products can be avoided to achieve efficient and clean welding.
2. Riveting method:
Ultra-high frequency ultrasonic vibration welding head is pressed on the protruding tip of plastic products, which instantly heates and melts into rivet shape, so that different materials are mechanically riveted together.
3. Embedding:
The metal parts (such as nuts, screw, etc.) are instantaneously squeezed into the plastic holes and fixed in a certain depth by means of the propaganda and proper pressure of the welding head. After completion, the tensile force and torsional force can be comparable to the strength of the traditional in-mold forming, and the defects of damage to the injection mould and slow injection can be avoided.
4. Forming:
Similar to riveting method, the concave weld head is pressed on the outer ring of plastic products. After the weld head emits ultra-high frequency ultrasonic vibration, the plastic is melted and wrapped in metal objects to make it fixed, and the appearance is smooth and beautiful. This method is mostly used in the fixing of electronic products, horns, and cosmetics.
5. Spot welding:
A. There is no need to pre-design the welding wire to achieve the purpose of splicing two pieces of plastic.
B. Compared with large workpieces, it is not easy to design welding wires for spot welding, so as to achieve the welding effect, multi-spot welding can be carried out at the same time.
6. Cutting Seal:
Using the working principle of instantaneous vibration of ultrasonic wave, the chemical fibre fabric is cut. Its advantages are that the incision is clean, no cracking and no drawing.
